Where to get Plan B in West Edmonton
Walk in to Unit 103, 15508 87 Avenue NW, with free parking right outside. We're open Monday 9 to 5, Tuesday to Friday 9 to 6 and Saturday 11 to 5, and closed Sunday. If you have questions, just ask at the counter. Our pharmacist can talk with you privately in our consultation room.
How soon do you need to take it?
Take Plan B as soon as you can after unprotected sex. It works best within 24 hours and is meant to be taken within 72 hours. It may work less well for people with a higher body weight, which is one reason ella is sometimes the better choice.
Plan B or ella?
ella (ulipristal) needs a prescription, which our pharmacist can write after a short walk in consultation. It can be used up to five days after unprotected sex and works better than Plan B at higher body weights. A copper IUD is the most effective option of all and also works up to five days after. Our Plan B vs ella vs copper IUD guide compares all three.
Private and judgement free
We know this can feel awkward. It doesn't need to be. Our pharmacist will answer your questions in a private room, with no judgement.
After emergency contraception
Emergency contraception is for the occasional emergency, not for regular use. If you'd like ongoing birth control, our pharmacist can prescribe it too, often in the same visit. Thinking longer term? See our guide to hormonal IUDs.
