Your information

Privacy at Acme Drug Mart.

Your health information is private. Here's how we protect it at the pharmacy, and what this website collects when you visit.

Your health information

As a licensed Alberta pharmacy, we collect, use and share your health information under Alberta's Health Information Act. We use it to care for you: to fill and check your prescriptions, for pharmacist assessments and prescribing, for vaccinations, to bill Alberta Health and your drug plan, and to keep your records up to date.

We only share your health information when the law allows it, for example with your other health care providers or your drug plan when it's needed for your care, or when you ask us to. We never sell your personal or health information.

Pharmacist assessments happen in our private consultation room, and our pharmacists follow the Alberta College of Pharmacy's standards for keeping your information confidential.

Seeing or correcting your records

You can ask to see a copy of your pharmacy records, or ask us to correct something that's wrong. Talk to our pharmacist at the counter or contact the pharmacy using the details below.

What this website collects

You can read this website without telling us who you are. To understand how people use the site and make it better, we use:

  • Google Analytics, which uses cookies to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn't tell us who you are.
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
  • Cloudflare, our website host, which measures site speed and protects the site from attacks.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them.

Forms and messages

If you email us or fill in a form on this site, we use what you send only to reply and help you. Website forms are delivered to our pharmacy email by Web3Forms, a form delivery service.

Please don't send detailed health information by email. Call us or talk to us in person instead.
